It has been said many times, but it is true, these are unprecedented times and they have been tough on everyone. In particular there have been new challenges for people with disabilities, community providers and Direct Support Professionals. We know it's been hard, and even tragic at times, we want to celebrate DSP's and thank them for their extrordinary efforts this past year to keep people safe, healthy and engaged with the world.
There are so many stories to tell, and we want to hear about and celebrate these stories. So, if you want to give a Shout Out to a DSP you know who deserves recognition, tell us a little about them.
Those submissions will be posted to our Convention Website, and best of all.....we will draw names from those for prizes to be given out during the session with the National Association of Direct Support Professionals, which will be Monday August 9th at 4pm with Joe Macbeth!
* A DSP is simply someone who works and provides any direct support to a person with IDD.
** Please ask PERMISSION from the DSP you are submitting BEFORE submitting their name.
*** You may submit photos, but again you are responsible for asking permission prior to submission.
